Patrick's Story:

Patrick Cady was a vibrant young man who always embraced life to the fullest. He was involved in the conservancy of the ocean and was an avid sports fan. Patrick loved to talk politics and was a huge history buff. Patrick was also very honest about his struggle with addiction and very committed to his recovery. So much so, he chose to leave his hometown of Ohio and move to Los Angeles to live with his uncle Jim who was a great mentor and role model to him. Over the next five years, Patrick changed his life; he got sober and extremely focused on making a difference in the lives of others.

During his time in Los Angeles, Patrick began working at a sobriety house which gave him a platform to really change the narrative in his community by giving fellowship and reassurance to those conflicted in their own lives. Patrick had a special way of engaging with others and in a short amount of time, was able to influence countless numbers of people on their journey towards sobriety. He wanted his story to be a testament to restore hope and encourage others the get the help they need without condition, judgment or    limitation. Patrick did not get to see his dream fully realized. On December 21, 2016 Patrick passed away from an accidental heroin overdose during a Christmas trip home.
